QUEEN CITY MEMORY CAFE COMING SOON to Burlington, Vermont
June 11, 2014
Jessie Cornell, Community Outreach Specialist of the Vermont Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, has been working with volunteers in Chittenden County to create a Memory Cafe in the Burlington area.
Plans are moving forward, and a meeting place has been selected: the Thayer House Community Room. Thayer House is a senior housing community on North Avenue in Burlington. It has ample parking, is handicap accessible, and it is a new and tranquil space with beautiful grounds.
The Queen City Memory Cafe will meet monthly on the third Saturday of the month. The inaugural Cafe is expected to be held in September.
More details will be posted here as our sister Memory Cafe in Burlington becomes a reality.
